Brown (born 1934, died April 5, 2024) was an American theoretical physicist, a retired Staff Scientist and Laboratory Fellow at Los Alamos National Laboratory, and Professor Emeritus of physics at University of Washington. WebbHis research focuses on emergent quantum phenomena in 2D materials and its van der Waals structures. He received his PhD in physics from Northwestern University and was a post doctoral researcher at Columbia University. He joined the department in January 2024.
