WebThe narrative of some people whom I've encountered who (like many of us) are frustrated with the high cost of living here is that the root cause is greed. The arguments I've heard/read boil down to the following: Landlords are greedy for charging high rent here in the Bay Area, and they should charge cheaper rent so people can afford to live here. WebTechnically you could say that landlords are the only cause because them letting the homeless into property instead if hoarding them for profit would solve the problem.
