E40d hard shifting

When I have the truck pegged, the shift that occurs between 30mph-35mph feels like it builds up a ton of pressure and jumps into gear and puts you back in the seat. Shifts fine with the overdrive ... WebApr 11, 2006 · Make sure all your connectors on the wiring harness and connectors at sensors are clean. I used electrical cleaning spray from auto store. The throttle position sensor needs to be in adjustment. The range I believe is 1.1-3.8 volts if not in right range shifting problems will happen.

If i'm just cruising and then get into the gas hard. it doesn't down shift to the gear you would expect it too, the tc locks up and bogs it down a bit. WebMar 7, 2016 · After it warms up, it won't shift out of first gear, unless you redline engine and let off throttle and then it will most likely shift, and it seams to skip third and likes to keep the converter locked over 30mph. The OD light doesn't flash. I changed fluid and filter, completely and still the same.
WebJun 29, 2014 · The center of the mlps turns with the shifter. Turn the center shaft untill the indicator shows N with key on. Look at the mlps, the should be one raised ridge on the part that does not turn and one on the center that turns. These should line up. Limp in this trans is normal shifting times but hard shifting. Automatic trans started shifting hard into 2nd gear, would rev up and then bang into second. Manually shifting from 1 to 2 then D works fine. Changed trans fluid & filter and replaced MAP sensor. Still shifts weird and seems worse.
